    Yes, you can transfer funds to your PPF account linked to your Bank of Baroda Savings Bank Account online through Baroda Connect (Internet Banking) and M-Connect (Mobile banking application). Also, you can transfer funds from other Banks to your PPF account via NEFT.

  • What is MMID?

    Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) is a seven-digit random number issued by the bank upon registration. Remitter (customer who wants to send money) and beneficiary (customer who wants to receive the money) should have this MMID for doing this interbank funds transfer.

  • How does an NRI obtain permission from Reserve Bank for investment under the 24% or 40% or 100% scheme?

    The NRI investor need not apply to Reserve Bank. Application for necessary permission under the schemes should be made by the Indian company/firm to the Central Office of Reserve Bank in Mumbai in form ISD/ISD(R).

  • How to use a Credit card?

    Use your Bank of Baroda credit card for:

    • Retail purchases
    • Online shopping
    • Cash withdrawals at ATMs
    • Foreign Rs. 2500 (cross-border) transactions while travelling overseas by enabling it for contactless (Tap & Pay) transactions.

    Not only that, but you may convert purchases of more than Rs. 2500 on your card into cheap EMIs ranging from 6 to 36 months.

  • Which are the Loans not covered under this Framework of RBI?

    The following loans are not covered under this Framework:

    • MSME borrowers whose aggregate exposure to lending institutions collectively, is Rs.25 crore or less as on March 1, 2020. (covered under separate scheme of RBI)
    • Farm credit
    • Loans to Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Farmers' Service Societies (FSS) and Large-sized Adivasi Multi- Purpose Societies (LAMPS) for on-lending to agriculture.
    • Exposures to financial service providers including NBFCs.
    • Exposures to Central and State Governments, Local Government bodies (e.g. Municipal Corporations) and body corporates established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.

  • In what other ways, businesses have been given relief

    The businesses may request the Bank to re-assess their Working Capital requirements on account of disruption of their cash flows or elongation of Working Capital Cycle. They may also request for reduction in margin on NFB facilities (LCs/ BGs etc). Decision will be taken by the Bank on case-to-case basis.

  • Can somebody else family members can use my smart card?

    Other than the cardholder, nobody else can use the smart card. Smart card identifies the customer in four different ways photograph, signature, personal identification number i.e. his secret PIN and online verification of his account. PINs are to be kept secret.

  • My Branch is closed due to disruption, when shall it open?

    It might be a public holiday, in which case the branch will reopen on the next working day. You can check the holiday schedule for confirmation. Otherwise, the closure might be due to unforeseen circumstances. If you need urgent assistance, please visit the nearest operational branch or utilize ADC channels and Business Correspondents for services

    Bank officials are working to normalize the working, and the Branch shall open as soon as situation tends to normalize.

  • My debit card doesn’t work on ATMs.

    Debit card does not work on ATMs due to some of the following reasons

    • The debit card may be blocked.
    • The debit card may not have swiped the card properly.
    • The Debit card might have got damaged/deteriorated due to which it is not accepted by the ATM where the card reader may be weak. In such case you may try at another ATM and if still does not work, request for a new card to your branch. You may also apply for debit card through bob World (Mobile Banking) / Baroda Connect (Internet Banking) /Contact Centre.
    • Account may be inoperative or frozen at the branch level due to some reason. Please contact your branch to know the account status.
    • Customer may be using the wrong PIN.
    • Connectivity from the ATM has failed. In such case, please try after some time or use another ATM.

  • Can NRIs make investments in National Savings Certificates issued by Post Offices in India?

    Yes. Investment in National Savings Certificate can be made by NRIs subject to the terms and conditions applicable to the sale/issue of such certificates. However, NRIs are not permitted to invest in bearer securities like Indira Vikas Patra/Kisan Vikas patra.
