Financing Agriclinics & Agribusiness Centres by Agriculture Graduates : Benefits

  • Provides financial aid for setting up of Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centers by Agricultural Graduates and other technically qualified entrepreneurs
  • Maximum Loan of Rs 25.Lakhs for Project by individual is allowed
  • Maximum Loan of Rs.20 Lakhs per trained person and overall ceiling of Rs.100 Lakhs for Project by group of individuals is allowed
  • No collateral security for Loan upto Rs 5 Lakhs
  • Nil margin for Loan upto Rs 5 Lakhs
  • Can avail subsidy through NABARD

Financing Agriclinics & Agribusiness Centres by Agriculture Graduates : Features

A financial aid for setting up of Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centers in order to supplement efforts of public extension by necessarily providing extension and other services to the farmers on payment basis or free of cost as per business model of agricultural entrepreneur (agri-preneurs), local needs and affordability of target group of farmers.

Financing Agriclinics & Agribusiness Centres by Agriculture Graduates : Eligibility Criteria

The scheme is open to:--

  • Graduates in agriculture and allied subjects from SAUs/ Central Agricultural Universities/Universities recognized by ICAR/ UGC. Degree holders in Agriculture and allied subjects offered by other agencies are also eligible subject to approval of Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Government of India on recommendation of the State Government.
  • Diploma (with at least 50% marks) / Post Graduate Diploma holders in Agriculture and allied subjects from State Agricultural Universities, State Agriculture and Allied Departments and State Department of Technical Education.
  • Diploma holders in Agriculture and allied subjects offered by other agencies are also eligible subject to approval of Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Government of India on recommendation of the State Government.
  • Biological Science Graduates with Post Graduation in Agriculture & allied subjects.
  • Degree holders in courses recognized by UGC having more than 60 percent of the course content in Agriculture and allied subjects.
  • Diploma/Post-graduate Diploma holders in courses with more than 60 percent of course content in Agriculture and allied subjects, after B.Sc. with Biological Sciences, from recognized colleges and universities.
  • Agriculture related courses at intermediate (i.e. plus two) level, with at least 55% marks.

  • KYC Documents (AADHAR, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License etc.)
  • Passport Size photo

  • Quotation/Invoice (if available)

Processing charges:

  • Waived upto Aggregate Agriculture exposure upto Rs. 3.00 Lakhs
  • Above Rs 3 Lakhs - DL/TL 1 % of the limit sanctioned with a maximum of Rs 100 lacs.

Inspection Charges:

  • Agriculture exposure upto Rs. 3.00 Lakhs- Nil
  • Above Rs 3 lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs - Rs 250
  • Above Rs 10 Lakhs to Rs 1 Crore - Rs 1000
  • Above Rs 1 Crore - Rs 5000

Quantum of Loan
  • Project by individual: Rs.20 Lakhs (Rs. 25 Lakhs in case of extremely successful individual projects)
  • Project by group of individuals: Rs.20 Lakhs per trained person and overall ceiling of Rs.100 Lakhs, whichever is less, for the purpose of subsidy
Security
  • For loans up to Rs 5 Lakhs– Hypothecation of assets (No need for collateral security)
  • For loans above Rs 5 Lakhs– Hypothecation of assets and Mortgage of land or third party guarantee
Repayment Period Between 5 to 10 years and will depend on the nature of activity. Maximum moratorium of 2 years.
Margin
  • For loans up to Rs 5 Lakhs– Nil
  • For loans above Rs 5 Lakhs– 15%
