Salient Features of Baroda Reloadable Card (Physical variant)

  • This EMV chip card variant is issued in Indian Rupees with minimum amount of Rs.100/- and maximum amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- in multiple of Re. 1/-.
  • Instant Activation.
  • Cards are valid for maximum period of 36 months from the date of issuance or date of expiry mentioned on card, whichever is earlier.
  • The card can also be reloaded multiple number of times (within the maximum limit).
  • Fully compliant with KYC, AML/CFT requirements as per RBI guidelines.
  • Cash withdrawal at ATM is allowed.
  • Usable at Rupay card accepting merchant outlets/websites across the country.
  • No balance transfer from one card to another is permissible.
  • SMS alert facility shall be made available to notify activation, Reload, expiry, etc.
  • Cardholder will have access to 24x7 Customer Care team as well as Customer self-service portal for viewing their card balance, transaction details PIN generation.
  • Transaction alerts will be sent for all transactions.
  • Card PIN can be changed at all BOB ATMs.

  • Ensure that you sign on the signature panel, on the back side of the card, as soon as you get the card.
  • Change your PIN or Memorise your PIN and ensure destroy your PIN Mailer.
  • Make a separate note of your card number and customer care number for emergency use.


  • Do not write your PIN Number on the card.
  • Do not swipe the card on unauthorised places or suspicious places. Always look for RuPay logo at Point Of Sale machine at Merchant Establishment.
  • Do not swipe your card if merchant does not have an electronic point of sale card swiping terminal. Any usage of the card other than electronic use will be deemed unauthorized and you will be solely responsible for such transactions.

A : Baroda Reloadable Card is a Prepaid Card that facilitates various transaction/payment related needs. Card usage is restricted to the amount loaded on the card. If required, customer can reload amount on the card.

A : Baroda Reloadable Card is available in two variants i.e. Physical and Virtual

A : Physical variant of Baroda Reloadable card is a beautifully crafted welcome kit will be provided to purchaser.

Q : What will be the contents of the Reloadable Card Welcome Kit?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card is offered in a sealed Welcome Kit which contains EMV Chip Reloadable Card, Welcome Letter, PIN Mailer and Terms & Conditions. We recommend the purchaser to ensure that a sealed cover is delivered to them.

Q : When the card is ready for use?

A : After receiving the funds along with the application form bank will activate the card on real time. Customer will be notified by SMS on registered mobile number and thereafter it can be used for online shopping, POS transactions and ATM transactions.

Q : Whether account with Bank of Baroda is needed to purchase Baroda Reloadable Card?

A : No. Baroda Reloadable Card can be purchased by both i.e. Bank’s account holder & Non- Bank’s Customer also. Person desirous of purchasing a card can visit any Bank of Baroda branch and purchase a Baroda Reloadable Card over the counter.

Q : Which accounts are eligible for purchasing Baroda Reloadable Card?

A : All KYC compliant operational accounts are eligible for purchasing Baroda Reloadable Card. The table below shows the types of accounts eligible:

Please Note: In case of accounts where more than one account holders are present, multiple cards can be issued, and cards can be issued to each account holder. For corporate customers there is no limit on number of cards per account except Full KYC of the beneficiary/cardholder to whom the card is to be issued is to be provided by the corporate.

A : Card Purchaser and Beneficiary details both are Mandatory for issuance of Baroda Reloadable Card.

Q : In which currencies Baroda Reloadable Card is available?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card is available in INR only and can be used in India only.

Q : Where can I use the card?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card can be used at ATM, POS (any RuPay certified merchant establishment in India) and E-Commerce/Online platform.

Q : Whether the card can be reloaded / top-up available?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card can be reload/ top up subject to condition Total balance in card at any point of time must not exceed Rs.1,00,000/-.

Q : How can I check the balance available on my Reloadable Card?

A : You can enquire balance available on your Reloadable card by logging into customer self-service portal i.e. https://bobprepaid.yappay.in using Bank’s website under prepaid card and/or by calling our 24-hour Customer Care toll free number 1800 1039 586 by giving KIT number and identification

Q : Whether transfer of funds is allowed from one Reloadable Card to another?

A : No, transfer of funds from one Reloadable Card to another is not allowed

Q : How to prevent unauthorized usage in case the card is misplaced or lost?

A : As soon as you know that the card is misplaced or lost, you must immediately report the loss of the card to our Customer Care toll free number 1800 1039 586. Service provider team would immediately hotlist the card after ascertaining your identity and prevent any further usage.

Q : How many number of cards are permitted for retail/corporate customers?

A : For retail customers, one card per account is allowed. For corporate customers there is no such limit.

Q : What is the minimum and maximum amount that can be loaded on the card?

A : Minimum load amount is Rs.100/-. Maximum amount permitted in a card at any point of time is Rs.1,00,000/-.

Q : How to confirm that the card has been activated/ reloaded?

A : To check card status or balance login to URL for customer care: https://bobprepaid.yappay.in or call the Customer Care toll free number 1800 1039 586 provided at the back of the card.

Q : Whether the card can be re-loaded?

A : Yes, Customer can re-load the card anytime during the validity of card. Card will be reloaded on real time. Customer must approach to any Bank of Baroda Branch for reload request.

Q : What is the minimum and maximum value that can be re-loaded on the card?

A : The minimum reload value of Baroda Reloadable Card is Rs.100 and maximum reload value is Rs.1,00,000/- (subject to card available balance + reload amount < Rs.1,00,000/-)

Q : How many times Baroda Reloadable card can be re loaded?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card can be reloaded multiple times before the expiry date of the card.

Q : What is PIN?

A : ATM PIN (PIN) is a unique 4 digit secure number assigned to card and known only to customer. It allows you to withdraw cash from ATMs (charges are applicable).Customer is advised to change and memorize pin as soon as he/she receives a new card.

Q : What options should be chosen to withdraw cash from the ATM?

A : At the time of cash withdrawal at ATM, customer has to choose among 3 type of accounts to carry out the transactions:

Q : What is the procedure to change the PIN if lost/forgotten?

A : Card holder has to visit Bank of Baroda branch for re-issuance of PIN. Based on application received from customer and deduction of applicable charges from card available balance, Physical Pin will be generated and provided to customer
The card holder may visit the customer self-service portal https://bobprepaid.yappay.in to re -generate the PIN. The PIN will be delivered to beneficiary registered e-mail id in secured pdf.

Q : Can withdrawal of cash from Bank using Baroda Reloadable Card is permitted?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card cannot be used for over the counter cash withdrawal.

Q : Whether temporary lock/block facility available on the card?

A : Yes, login to https://bobprepaid.yappay.in and lock your Baroda Reloadable Card temporarily. Kindly use registered mobile number/kit number for login.

Q : How to view statement of transactions?

A : Please login to https://bobprepaid.yappay.in to track all your transactions, anytime, anywhere. Kindly use registered mobile number/KIT Number for login

Q : What to do if the card is lost? Or if someone steals the card?

A : As soon as you sense that card or card related data (like PIN) is compromised/ stolen then immediately call the customer care centre and request to block the card. Raise request for replacement card through your base branch

Q : Whom to contact when a replacement of card is needed?

A : Customer needs to contact the issuing branch, fill out an application and provide KYC, submit the card (if not stolen/lost) and will receive a new card. Q

Q : How reloading of replacement card take place?

A : Procedure and terms to reload of replaced card will remain the same as original card. Upon revalidation, old card will be replaced in the system with new one and new card will be linked to the account. Balance available in old card will be transferred to new card on real time after deducting applicable fee & taxes.

Q : What is validity duration for the Baroda Reloadable Card?

A : Baroda Reloadable Card is valid for maximum 36 months from the date of issuance or the date printed on card whichever is earlier. Upon card expiry, please visit the issuing Branch for new card only after surrendering back the old card.

Q : How to apply for a refund of the card balance?

A : Customer may withdraw/utilize the funds available in card and bring the balance in the card to zero and submit the card to issuing branch along with a request to surrender the card.

Q : What will happen to the balance (if any) in the card after expiry?

A : Alert SMS is sent 45 days before expiry of card on registered mobile number of card holder to utilize the funds available. Card holder also has an option of revalidating the card, if the customer fails to utilize the funds before expiry of card and revalidate the card. Remaining fund (if any) will be transferred to linked account of card holder on request of customer.

Q : What is the maximum amount that can be withdrawn from an ATM/swiped at merchant outlet in a day?

A : The maximum withdrawal limit in a day from ATM is Rs.25,000/- and per transaction limit is Rs.10,000/-. The reloadable card can also be swiped for up to Rs.1,00,000/- in a day, subject to the balances available on the card.
