Your policy will continue with the existing insurance company and Bank of Baroda will provide necessary support/ services for six months from 01st April 2019 or till the expiry of the Life insurance policy, whichever is earlier.

As per regulatory authority we cannot have more than 3 tie-up in Life, Health and General Insurance separately, hence we have discontinued with insurance partners of erstwhile Dena and Vijaya Bank.

Can I carry out transactions from erstwhile Vijaya Bank or Dena Bank branch to Bank of Baroda or vice versa?

Yes. With effect from 1st June 2019, you can carry out the following transactions across the amalgamated Bank in Savings and Current Accounts:

  • Cash deposits of less than Rs. 50,000/- per transaction
  • Cash withdrawals of less than Rs. 50,000/- per transaction
  • Instant inter-branch transfer of funds upto Rs. 1 lakh per transaction
  • Noting of stop payment of cheques across enhanced network
  • Transaction Enquiry for last 10 entries

Can I deposit cash multiple times in a day

Yes. You can deposit multiple times in your Savings or Current Account. The per transaction limit is Rs. 49,999/-. However, if your account does not have PAN details, the aggregate amount of cash deposit on a single day should not exceed Rs. 49,999/-.

Can I withdraw cash multiple times?

Yes. You can withdraw multiple times from your Savings or Current Account. However, the per transaction limit is Rs. 49,999/-.

Can I transfer funds across the amalgamated Bank.

Yes. You can transfer funds from and to Savings and Current account. The per transaction limit for inter-branch transfer of funds is upto Rs.1/- lakh. One of the accounts in which the transaction is being carried out (either debit or credit) should necessarily be in the Bank (BoB, eVB or eDB) where transaction is being carried out. For e.g. you cannot go to eVB branch and try to transfer funds from BoB to eDB account. However, you can transfer from eVB account to either BoB or eDB account as you are transacting in an eVB branch.

For noting of stop payment of cheque across other banks, whether any documentary proof is needed?

For stop payment of cheque only letter requesting stop payment of cheque duly signed by the customer as per the signature on record with the base bank of the customer is needed

Whether customer can operate his cash credit or overdraft account through other branches?

No. This facility is extended only to Savings and Current account holders for the time being.

What is the amount customer can withdraw?

Upto Rs. 49,999/- per transaction. Withdrawal is only by way of cheque and to the customer only. No third party payment is allowed.

Whether customer can request for NEFT or RTGS transaction?

For transactions other than those mentioned in Q1 above, please visit your base Bank/branch.

Whether customer can give stop payment instructions at any of the branches?

Yes. Customer can get his/her balance for Savings and Current accounts

Whether customer can get statements of account at any of the branches?

Customer can only ascertain and view the last 10 transactions made in Savings or Current account. Printout will not be available.

Whether the account number and IFSC code will be changed for the existing customers?

The existing account number, IFSC code, MICR code and other identifiers of account and branch will continue, till a change is notified and announced

Whether I have to close my account in erstwhile Dena / erstwhile Vijaya Bank?

The existing account with erstwhile Vijaya Bank and erstwhile Dena Bank will continue, till otherwise notified and communicated

Effective 1st April 2019, all cards issued/reissued will be of Bank of Baroda branding for both erstwhile Dena Bank and erstwhile Vijaya Bank

What will happen to my QAB? Will it change?

We have tried our best to cause minimal changes to the existing QAB limit and charges. Incase of any further changes, we'll notify the customers in advance

Will there be a change in the Interest rates on my RD/FD and savings accounts?

As of now there are no changes, any future changes in interest rates will be displayed on Bank's website as well as in branch premises with advance notice

Will there be any new service charges that will be levied on my account?

Merger has not resulted into any new service charges for the customers. Incase of any changes, we'll notify the customers in advance

What will happen to my existing shares of erstwhile Vijaya Bank / erstwhile Dena Bank?

Shares of erstwhile Vijaya Bank and erstwhile Dena Bank will be converted as under:

  • 402- Equity shares of Rs. 2/- each of Bank of Baroda for every -1000- equity shares of Rs.10/ - each of erstwhile Vijaya Bank.
  • 110- Equity shares of Rs. 2/- each of Bank of Baroda for every -1000- equity shares of Rs.10/ - each of erstwhile Dena Bank.

What about my Digital Banking channels viz Mobile Banking/Internet Banking/UPI/BBPS/BHIM/Prepaid Cards

No change in any of the processes, all applications of the three banks will continue to work as it is. All applications of the banks will continue to be functional to service the customers

Whether the account number, IFSC code and cheque books will change for the customers?

The existing account number, IFSC code, MICR code and other identifiers of account and branch will continue. New cheque books will also continue be issued on request as usual. Any change will be notified to the customers

Whether existing debit cards will change for the customers?

Existing and new Debit / Credit cards will continue to work without any change till their expiry.

Do I need to share any personal information to the Bank for continuation of the services after amalgamation?

Bank has all the necessary information required for continuation of all the services including account/card operations and internet/mobile banking. Bank never ask for personal and sensitive information. Please don’t share account number, card number, PIN, CVV, OTP, password to anyone including the Bank

Whether the customer can get consolidated statements?

The integration of processes and systems are underway. As of now, no consolidated statement can be generated. Customer will be notified when such facility will be made available

Will my branch close or change?

We have a network of 9500+ branches. Currently none of the branches will close and the customer can continue to bank with their existing branch. Any changes in branch network will be duly notified

Will you close my account?

No accounts will be closed. You can continue to use your accounts and bank with us

Why have you revised the service charges or requirement for minimum monthly balance?

We have harmonized charges and minimum monthly balance requirement for customers of all the three banks. The guiding principle has been fixing of the lowest of the charges/ criteria amongst the three banks. Any further changes will be notified to the customers

Loan application will be processed as per lending powers already made available to all Regional offices/ Zonal offices

Which set of forms are to be used for loan origination?

Bank of Baroda forms are to be used for all loan originations. Forms are available in Bank of Baroda Master Circulars, uploaded on intranet

What is the change in process for retail loan processing?

Use Bank of Baroda scoring mechanism for loan approval and CIBIL score based pricing mechanism. Both scoring schemes and pricing scheme are available in master circulars

Is there any change in MSME loan processing?

For MSME loan processing, pricing is linked to CIBIL MSME Rank - the CMR risk ranking while approval is linked to BOBRAM rating. Please refer to process document uploaded on intranet for the same

Where do we get BOBRAM ratings generated? Can we use existing BOBRAM systems for the same?

All BOBRAM ratings would be done on Bank of Baroda RAM instance. Please reach out to your respective rating team in your corresponding head office / reporting controlling office for further clarification
